Emotion recognition tool for youth
This project provided a valuable opportunity to create a positive impact on young people. It was eye-opening to understand the profound effect of social pressure and to develop a design that helps them navigate it. The outcome feels like an important step toward fostering self-awareness and personal growth.

KEY MOMENTS
Double Diamond process
During the development phase, I designed and tested interactive modules and exercises with a group of young people, implementing iterations based on their feedback regarding usability and effectiveness.
Through interviews with young people and mental health experts, I discovered that social media often contributes to unrealistic self-perceptions and that many young people struggle with recognizing and accepting their emotions.

The final result was an engaging game that provides young people with a safe space for self-reflection and emotional development. It received positive feedback for its accessibility and the sense of safety it fosters, making emotional growth both interactive and enjoyable. As a result, it is expected to encourage a more resilient use of social media in the future.
This led to defining the core problem: how can we support young people in building a healthy relationship with their emotions before they are exposed to the pressures of social media?
